My Story (Thus Far)

…. What about me
Born in New York City and never strayed far… I grew up an only child in a suburban town, I tried lots of different things, but nothing quite stuck like my love for fashion. I tried gymnastics, played the violin, did dance for awhile, even swimming and volleyball. I was in no after school activities but my own. I loved to draw, take pictures, play dress up on online websites, do my makeup in the mirror and pretend my teddy bears were my audience. I had role models like Britney Spears, Hannah Montana, Lizzie Mcquire, Xuxa, Sarah Jessica Parker, Betty Boop, Hello Kitty, and all the Disney Princesses… anyone who sparkled caught my eye.
Growing up Gen Z, technology and the internet grew up with me. It took a lot of trial and error to get to a place where I am confident in what I want in this life and utilizing the positives that the internet provides us. :) I’ve always felt drawn to the city and the many inspiring stories from icons that moved here and made their mark through art. After moving to New York City in 2018 to go to school at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I started to find my own way, relearning what I loved instead of trying to please others around me. Just like New York is ever changing, so am I, constantly growing and learning from the many lessons it gives. I worked in retail throughout college and found my way through online learning during the pandemic- I went to school for fashion business to which I am so grateful, but I ultimately learned what I didn’t want to do, and looked beyond to something more creative.
Since getting my bachelors, I followed where my heart took me. I work at Marc Jacobs as a stylist, having fun interacting with the amazing people that come to shop and who love fashion as much as I do. I put an outfit on that makes me happy everyday, dressing for myself and hoping to inspire someone on the way.
